Casual Friday: Maxed Out

Happy Friday Dolls!!

Here's another look for your "Casual Friday" closet dilemma.  I'm a huge fan of maxi skirts and dresses for work.  The maxi is a great item to have in your arsenal of easy to wear clothing that can be styled for work or play.

I'm currently packing for a week long business trip to New Jersey and my main pieces in the luggage are my maxi dresses and skirts.  It's long enough to cover my legs in cold conference room, easy for me to slip off my shoes and hide my feet under and extremely easy to pack.

I've worn this skirt on three other occasions and it has been the perfect item. For work, I polished up the look with a easy Jersey tee from Target, Sam Edelman Wedges, Tano bag, Necklace from Francesca's and Vintage bangles.

Now here is a fun fact about this skirt, I purchased this item from Ross Dress for Less for $12.99 but that is not the shocker.  This skirt is marked as a size 13 junior!!!! LESSON: ALWAYS CHECK THE ELASTIC!! This skirt has so much body and fullness, I would've been  foolish to leave it at the store.

I love this year's strong push on ethnic and tribal prints.  It's been one of my favorite patterns this season.

If you remember my Just a Girl From the West Side post, here is another view of the Historical  Mount Zion African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church in Montgomery, AL.  The city is currently preparing for the Selma  to Montgomery March 50th Anniversary and is revitalizing my beloved Westside Community.
