Review and Contest: The Perfect Duo with Ouidad Ultra-Nourishing Cleansing Oil And Whipped Curls Daily Conditioner & Styling Primer.

Monday, April 25, 2016
Hey Luvs!!!

Last week, I told you about my upcoming review for Ouidad. Ouidad pronounced (/we-dad/), The curl experts of Ouidad reached to me and my kinky coils with an opportunity to try the perfect duo of the Ultra-Nourishing Cleansing Oil And Whipped Curls Daily Conditioner & Styling Primer. I don’t know if they peeped my recent struggle the dreaded washday routine, but I was definitely ready to give it a try. Why not? This is Ouidad were talking about. AND TODAY IS YOUR LUCKY CHANCE TO WIN! (Details below)

The beautifully packaged perfect duo set includes a full size 8.5 oz bottle of the Ultra-Nourishing Cleansing Oil and 8.5 oz dispenser of the Whipped Curls Daily Conditioner & Styling Primer RETAIL VALUE: $52.00. I’m big on smells so the first thing I did was open the product to take a sniff. THIS SMELLS AMAZING!!!!!!

Let's Begin!

With a sweet yet hint of musk to it, the Ultra-Nourishing Cleansing Oil foamed right up and when it hit my wet kinky curls. It immediately masked them with a nourishing coat of advanced oils to gently removes dirt and build-up while restoring essential moisture to my scalp and hair.

With the use of nutrient-rich Mafura Butter and Kalahari Melon Seed Oil, the Ultra-Nourishing Cleansing Oil envelopes the hair shaft to rebuild, nourish and protect hair in need of repair. While the silk proteins and coconut oils bind to the cuticle to sustain hydration and resist damage.

My scalp felt revived and refreshed. And my hair… take a look.

After I detangled,I decided I wanted to see how I could achieve the perfect Wash and Go, so I applied the Whipped Curls Daily Conditioner & Styling Primer. This velvetly smooth product can be used as a conditioner, primer or leave-in! One product with all that responsibility had me a little worried. But the triple Olive Oil blend made up of Shea Butter and Glycerins coated my curls.

My hair was whipped into shape. The product pampered, nourished and conditioned my curls. And left it feeling soft with pops of curly ringlets on the end.

If your hair is a 3c-4a like mine, I would highly recommend giving this dynamic perfect duo a try.

Spring Refresh with London Times Curves Collection by Maggy London

Thursday, April 14, 2016
Hey Luvs!

Are you loving my spring dress series? I hope so. Spring is the perfect time to do a little facelift to your look by trying new things and stepping out of your style boundaries. Wearing white anything used to be one of my personal style boundaries that I just recently got over only a short time ago, like last year. This year I set new style goals for myself and I plan on wearing everything I was told not to wear growing up. The latest piece added to my closet is this lovely white eyelet dream from Maggy London’s London Times Curves collection design for plus size women.

When I first saw this dress in the catalog, I flipped past it and thought to myself, it was too delicate for me. I wanted something with a little more structure. Immediately the light bulb switch popped on and I knew this was the dress I needed just because of my previous thoughts. To my wonderful surprise, this dress was exactly what I required to step out of my boundaries. The beautiful delicate details of this fit and flare skirt dress made me smile. And you know what that means…more to twirl on.

Take a look at London Times Curve Caroline Fit & Flare in White.

Of course, I had to add a little personality and edge with my denim moto jacket.

How would you wear it?

Because Of Stripes with Target's Who What Wear Bardot Knit Dress

Monday, April 4, 2016
Hey Luvs!
I’m back this week with more printed dresses for the spring. Last week was about bright prints and patterns and breaking some rules society said we shouldn’t break when it comes to fashion. Since I’m a rule breaker, I’m back with another print, in fact my favorite print, stripes. I love stripes. I love wearing them horizontal, diagonal, vertical even chevron. The love I have for this print may stay with me for a lifetime and I’m happy to say there are many great designers and brands that understand me completely. The Who What Wear collection from Target happens to be one of those collaboration that understand.
Last time I wore the infamous trench vest, still one of my favorite pieces. I still have several ways rock it in my style bag. I also picked up a couple dresses from the collection.  A simple shirtdress and this Bardot style knit dress.  I love the Bardot style cut.  If you’re not familiar to why it’s called Bardot checkout my piece talking about this plus size friendly cut (here).
Back to this cutie, which has already become one of my favorite pieces. This piece was recently added to the collection last month. Did you know new pieces are added every month? If not, now you do. And if you see it in just the straight size section, don’t become discourage because I’m wearing the XXL from the straight size section because my local store didn’t have the plus size(that is still a whole other soap box discussion).

Top 3 Accessories for Spring 2016

The sun is shining, flowers are blooming, and fresh fashions are hitting the racks of your favorite shops—all signs that spring is finally here. While clothing trends often receive the most attention during a shift in weather, accessories are just as important when it comes to dressing for the new season. Luckily, the spring runways had no shortage of adornments to offer. Add a finishing touch to your warm-weather outfits with one (or all!) of these top accessories for spring 2016.

The Bucket Bag

While it may be true that a girl can never have too many handbags, there’s one style that is a must-have for the spring. As Who What Wear notes, the bucket bag is equal parts form and function, making it an absolute must for girls on the go. Whether you prefer a mini version of the silhouette that reads cute and dainty or believe the bigger the bag the better, this classic purse delivers with an easy-to-wear shape and classic drawstring closure. To take this accessory to the next level, look for interesting details, such as suede fabric, fringed accents, and bold colors. Versatile, practical, and always on-trend, the bucket bag is definitely one to invest in this spring season (that is, if you haven’t already).
