Plaid Sophistication: Bee and Pep Does Plaid #4

Monday, November 30, 2015
Hey Luvs!!

This is my last installment of Plaid Madness with Curvaceouslybee for our "Bee and Pep does Plaid" Collaboration.  For my last look, I wanted to being some sophistication to a piece I would normally wear casually. This open front cardigan from Belks.com was a gift from my mommy last year for my birthday.  It the perfect everyday sweater for the chilly winter season.  Usually I pair this item with my favorite trousers or jeans, but this time I wanted something with a little more..."Hey There!" By pairing the cardigan with this old dress from Target, I was able to accomplish the goal of  Plaid Sophistication like a winner.

This dress is about 3 years old but Christopher and Banks (click here) has one that is very similar and on sale! The basic black sheath dress is a  wardrobe staple piece. Every woman should have one inside her closet. The open cardigan from New Directions sold inside Belk's (click here)is also on sale and definitely a item to place in the wardrobe for season transitions and cozy chic looks. It's also sold in red buffalo plaid.

Iron Bowl Rival: Collaboration with Jeniese of thejenesaisquoi

Friday, November 27, 2015
Hey Luvs!

This morning post is one that is pretty near and dear to my heart for two reasons, the first being that I am doing a collaboration with one of my dearest friends for the past 10 years, Jeniese or as many of you know her....The Jenesaisquoi.  The other reason is this post is about our love for our Alma mater's Auburn University and University of Alabama.  And if you know anything about about football, you know this Saturday is all about the the bragging rights for the year.   For Jeniese and I this is just an opportunity to do something together representing our school and doing it fashionably.   It's a win win!  Take a look at our Rival Style shenanigans  and tell us what you think.  And if you don't know....I bleed the Blue. WAR EAGLE!!!

My look was a simple look made for the office.
I took a team shirt paired with a great midi from Eloquii.
With my light trench coat and pop with my leopard shoes

My favorite pics.

Dont forget to check out Jeniese's look

Bee and Pep does Plaid: Plaid Three Ways

Sunday, November 22, 2015
Hey Pretty Girls!

It's time for another plaid look from my month long series with Bee of  Curvaceouslybee.  This week is about the versatility of  a great plaid shirt in your wardrobe.  If you know anything about me, you know I had to a "Multiple ways to rock it"post. Plaid is a great pattern to play with and it come in some many variations that you can literary have a closet full of plaid items and not realize you had until you have to a month long series and your plaid passion starts to show ( what too much?). Yeah,  I didn't I had some much plaid until now, I really happy I decided to join Bee in this because I'm discovering these items and playing with them more.

Take this great shirt from Christopher and Banks, I got the shirts a couple months as part of the launch of the Ponte Collection, a great collection of pieces that really work in your life for both the work week and weekend.  The shirt is a great cotton shirt style with these knit panel on the side that does wonders for the fit on the shirt.  It really is the perfect shirt for all parts of my life, so I had to share the ways I have been wearing with you.

For Work

I paired this Christopher and Banks (similar) shirt with my favorite Jibri High Waist Skirt and Vince Camuto pumps.  This skirt as you know is my all time favorite piece in my closet.  It has so many styling options.

The New Grudge: Bee and Pep does Plaid

Monday, November 16, 2015
Hey Luvs!

Today is another installment of Bee and Pep does Plaid. Every week Biance of Curvaceouslybee and I, show you how we would wear some of the latest trends and styles. For this month, we are going full on plaid and loving it.  See the first look of the month here.  This week's look was a little bit of nostalgia for me, growing up in the 90's during the Seattle Grudge trend made me appreciate the plaid life.  It was also during this time I begin to test my pattern mixing skill, not knowing form of rebellious fashion would one day become on of my favorite trends. To get in the vibe of a more grown up version my grungy past, I wore a striped bodycon from Zulily ( perfect for spring and summer) and a plaid duster shirt from Ashley Stewart with my white moto to finish the look. Take a look at this week's look and tell me what you think!

Going Plaid with Curvaceously Bee

Sunday, November 8, 2015
Hey Pretty Girls!!

Welcome to the first installment of Bee and Pep Does Plaid!

It's November already, I can't believe how fast this year is coming up to a new year.  I've had the opportunity to work with so many awesome bloggers this year.  One of my personal favorites is the lovely Bianca of Curvaceosly Bee. I love how she and I share many shapely similarities.  We often swap size stories and reviews since with both come from the land of thick thighs.  When we talked about this collaboration being all plaid for the month of November, I had to take this challenge.
