A Print Pant! OH MY!

Wednesday, March 27, 2013
Prints, Prints, Prints......Yes! I have become addicted to prints.   These global prints pants called my name at the Goodwill the other day.  I recently saw something like them in all the pages of all the fashion magazines raving how global prints are in for 2013, it then became a no brainier    I love tribal/global prints, they are so beautiful to me and they seem to always be a neutral in my eyes.  These pants can go with any color in my closet and still be a great ensemble. Today, I paired them with a tank and black blazer, some cool earring that had a tribal feel to it and mixed bangles added a finish touch.  The weather is still chilly so a scarf knocks the chill off some.  Right now, these are my favorite pants for the spring and I can't wait to mix them up with other colors.

Mixed Prints: Floral and Stripes!!

By now you have realized, I have a passion for prints.  I LOVE IT!  Of course there are rules to it, but who cares around that book.  The one thing I always keep in mind when mixing prints is to have one primary color on both prints.  It's my personal rule.   This outfit was my intro to Spring!  A lovely floral blazer from JCP for $15 and stripe sheer shirt also JCP for $2---ARE YOU CHECKING JCP CLEARANCE RACKS!!! I think I hit the jackpot recently there.  This outfit has two primary colors: black and white, which means you can go crazy in the closet mixing this print and add a pop of color for personal style and your done. As you can see I cause my own dilemma by mixing it with my vintage mixed print blazer,  I had a hard time with this outfit, I played with the Stripes on Stripes fire but Floral on Stripes won the work day.

Graphic Girl

I must admit, I love prints!  I hate when people say curvy girls can't wear prints.  Of course we can, the right print can do wonders.  This print dress was perfect from JCP clearance rack for only $4 bucks.  It has all the colors of spring and is of a lightweight, washable material that works perfect for my busy lifestyle. I was able to dress it up with my open blazer from the Kardashian Kollection from Sears and yes another clearance item $12. My nude wedges just pulled it all together for work wear.  Another perfect transition outfit for this changing weather.   I think I will do a prints everyday this week......stay tuned!

Magically Delicious!

Friday, March 15, 2013
For the record,  I was Irish in my past life........I love St. Patty's Day and due to prior engagements I won't be able to spend time at my favorite pub this year, but I can tickle my fancy with the Irish Luck (you like that right).  I like to coin this look as "When A Leopard meets A Leprechaun, it's Magical Delicious".  I have really been wearing leopard as a neutral lately, it seems to go well with all the colors of the rainbow. The jacket was a great find at Dillards only $20 and the skater dress is from Old Navy also $20 NOW ON SALE! I usually bounce between a XL-XXL in Old Navy clothes which really make me smile. The fashion angels were smiling also and made perfect fashion harmony when the sleeves on the jacket exposed this beautiful shade of green.  At that point, it was only....LOVE LOVE LOVE!  Hope you enjoy.

Waiting on Spring

Wednesday, March 13, 2013
I seem to think I am pretty patient, I mean it's Spring Break here in Florida and I am still dressing for the transition into Spring. What happen to the Groundhog's prediction?  I can't keep wearing the colors of fall and winter when Spring is all over the place in every store, I must break into Spring! But in 42 degree weather that is a little tricky thus today's outfit......My flowy midi skirt from Asos and  Liz Claiborne blazer circa 1990 care of my Mommy's closet :).  Some basic black pieces and I can patiently wait on Spring without freezing my bottom off.  Now that is a beautiful thing and I'm warm.
