A Two Way!!!! with Sequins That Is!

Monday, December 24, 2012
I have to be honest, A secret part of me loves SEQUINS!!! But I only feel this look is for the holidays.  I know, I should not feel this way but I am working that.  This sequins tanks has only seen 4 events since I purchased it four years ago. Now I can add 2 more events to the roster! The first look was for a Christmas dinner, I paired the take with a shimmery structured charcoal blazer, black Ponte leggings (that I love) and black boots.  I kicked up the eyes with this awesome shade of blue with a soft nude lips and my zebra clutch, DNKY watch and bangles finished the look.

The second look was for a afterwork function at the local chamber.  Same great take but this time with my curve fitting skirt from Old Navy, tuxedo jacket for F21 and hot pink wedges by Jessica Simpson.  I have falling in love with these wedges. Awesome color for the season and I have so many plans for them already!  I really wanted to have fun, so I added some long earrings and became playful.

Hope your Holiday outfits SPARKLE AND SHINE!!! HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!

What is that? VELVET

Friday, December 21, 2012
I've been on a hunt to say the least for a velvet blazer, I knew it was one of those things that would be a great winter stable for me especially during the holidays, but my reality is I live Florida and "Velvet" is not a popular material around this place.  None the less, I found my blazer while on a thrifting adventure and this made the planets align :).  It was light enough so I wasn't bulky and a great velvet texture.  I was so proud of myself.  To create the perfect holiday outfit, I had to add vintage and this brooch I picked up from my mothers jewelry box from  a dear family member.  Of course it took some heavy bargaining to get my little fingers on it, but I promised her I would love this beauty forever.  Now I am officially getting into the Christmas spirit  and it is starting to reflect in my outfits.

I was invited to a customer retirement party the  other night and of course for me it was the usual---I HAVE NOTHING TO WEAR!!!!!! But then I realized who am I speaking to, I always have something to wear just do what I remix it.  I have been on a polka dot APB lately.  I found the perfect dress in this daydress that I got from Ross.  It is a exact replica of the one I had my eye one at my favorite store JCP.  Just half the cost and well for me that is a YES!! For the retirement party, I added a Tuxedo jacket from F21 and Mary Jane's and the world become right again.

I have been mixing things up alot lately.
