FEELING LIKE A BADAZZ

Tuesday, February 25, 2014

VEST- IT'S FASHION| TURTLENECK-OLD NAVY| JEANS- NINE WEST-TJMAXX | PUMP-UNISA-SHOE STATION| HANDBAG- ANNE KLEIN-MY MOMMY'S CLOSET

I don't normally wear all black. I am just a color addict, but for some reason today,  I was feeling like a badazz and decide why not?  I felt strong, confident, sexy, dangerous ( I don't know why) and vintage all at the same time.  I think these cigarette jeans by Nine West reminded me of "Funny Face" with Audrey Hepburn, shall I say TIMELESS. Adding A high bun and red lip to this finished look and  - Classic Chic. Go Figure....  What make you feel like a BADAZZ?

The Sweet Return of ELOQUII!!

Friday, February 21, 2014

Remember the smile on your face when the cute postman delivered your eloquii purchases, was the packaging not perfect?  The vibrant blue box with the crisp lime and white tissue paper; I'm sitting here smiling just thinking about it.  When The Limited Company took away my well deserved style outlet, I was hurt.

For weeks, plus size fashion enthusiast like myself and many others posted #ripeloquii in our social media timelines hoping, wishing and praying for the return.

Fast Forward.......Valentine's was late but the gift was Super Sweet.
 THE RETURN OF ELOQUII .

Everything on this site relaunch was a display of pure excitement all over the curvy girl's world and we can't wait to see that cute postman and slip into more ELOQUII.

Here are few of my favorite pieces. What's yours?

Sweet Treats Inspiration: Jewelry from Hoops and Dangles

Tuesday, February 11, 2014

Every girl wants something special for Valentine's Day  and this one found some really nice treats with a local jewelry owner and designer, Fran Howard.  Hoops and Dangles are perfect for a girl on a budget like me and the pieces......... I will let them speak for themselves.
TASSELS: A sexy little number that dangles from the ears.

This Broach is one of my new favorite pieces.  I have some other plans for it also so stay tuned.

Jacket: Evan Picone / Skirt: Jibri /Broach: Hoops and Dangles / Shoes: Jessica Simpson / Handbag : Vintage

I have been lusting for years for a Jibri High Waist Flare skirt and I finally got it during the Black Sale. This skirt is really everything I hoped it to be. I felt like such a lady as the wind tried to take me away in this skirt.  I paired it with a blazer for Evan Picone (Regular 129.00Paid 24.99 at a discount outlet for Dillards)
Do you see me dancing over the savings? Maybe not, but this was a deal and I love this jacket.  This is the perfect Valentine's outfit for the lady celebrating time with her husband away from it all.

Very Sex in the City in Paris to me, minus the tutu.

Have a Beautiful Day.

Inspiration: Tales of a Cobalt Blue BodyCon (Dress Review)

Monday, February 3, 2014
Dress: Revamped Styles-(Gotta have it)   Jacket: Rainbow  Necklace: Forever 21 Handbag: Charming Charlie

The styling options for this dress has me excited and wanting more colors.

My Spring inspiration is from the lovely fashion blogger, Just Patience

First I have to say,  I have a love affair with Cobalt Blue.  It's the featured color in several of my wardrobe choices in my closet.  It's a year round, happy color. And I was super excited to received the invitation from Revamped Styles to review this plus size version of the Topshop best seller.  The Bodycon Midi, in my person opinion is the perfect go to dress for any occasion. It can easily go from the boardroom to the dance floor with just a change of accessories.  I like taking items like this and working them with the seasons.

Let's talk about the dress: It has a soft jersey feel with just enough spandex like stretch.  It comes in several colors and the fit is really based on your comfort level. I ordered a 24/26 in fear the material would make the dress run small to my wonderful surprise this dress is a "midi" going past my knees (I'm 5'7 without my faithful wedges). I think my next one will be 20/22 to give me a little va va voom knee action.  Also because the fabric is thin, I strongly suggest proper foundation a.k.a Spanx or smoothing foundation.

I did the Wear It Now/ Wear it Later scenario:  Right now, I would wear the black pieces to make the hue of the blue pop.   For the later, I took inspiration from a fellow blogger and added my orange silk trench.

GOTTA HAVE IT! (Direct link to dress)

I can't wait to do more inspiration post.  Have a Great Monday!
