Happy Friday!!!!

So how are your winter layering skills?  The layering trend is pretty huge this season.  It's allowing us to play with textures, materials and design to create warmth and stylish looks not just for the streets, but for the office as well.

Now I know the company dress code can sometimes be strict and hard to work around when it comes to Casual Friday.   There's a unique technique to understanding the fundamentals of  this style. Trust me. Once you know the tricks you will  be able to put looks together that reflect your personal style goals in seconds.

Currently, I'm having the greatest time shopping my closet and creating new looks. I playing with items I completely forgot that I had...I will go to the corner now.

Always remember when wearing jeans at the office, keep the color dark and the design flattering to you shape.

I layered a silk polka dot button down with a cream peplum for a fun polished looked.

Peacoat: Old Navy| Shirt: Raplh Lauren| Peplum: It's Fashion| Jeans: Bandalino at Belks

Tailor Made Style with Eshakti and Chloe + Isabel

Wednesday, January 28, 2015

In these times, fashion can sometimes be a cookie cut design.  Adding your personal touch is what makes it your own.   That's what I think I love the most about eShakti. I  picked out this adorable navy dress, added some personal touches in the sleeves and length and VIOLA!!!!  Something tailor made just for me. And because I've never owned a navy dress before, it's become the perfect addition to my wardrobe.........AND IT'S A MIDI WITH POCKETS!!!HELLO!!!  I will contain myself for now.

Do you not love this netting in the neckline?
You can also add a personal touch with the right accessories.  I'm beginning to think no one does tailor made accessories like Chloe + Isabel. The Palm Royal Capsule collection was love at first site for me.  I love the old Miami glam mix of Turquoise and Silver with Bling.

It's just the right amount for work and if you need a little more for play simply add some additional pieces to the necklace for a longer look or three strand style as shown.  Shop Here

I paired my new navy dress with my favorite leopard blazer by Evan Picone a chic office style.

I really enjoyed my shopping experience with eShakti.  I was able to create the perfect midi dress without a hitch!  Now the sad news is my dress is no longer available, I picked a very similar style below.

Did I tell you I got pockets added to my dress?!?!Eeeekkkk

What do you think?

Vintage New Year

Monday, January 12, 2015
Good Morning!!!

Today is my official return to blogging for the New Year.  I was starting to feel like a slacker,  but I have been doing a lot of great things so far for 2015.  I promised myself to be more about building my future and making sound investments in my business/brand.

Now in order to do this I have to take a small wardrobe cut, which is okay since I only shop big from Thanksgiving to New Years afterwards it's thrift and flea markets.  Now, I do love shopping my own closet and running into things I haven't seen in years.

For instance, everything in this post today is either a vintage find or more than 3 years old.  I found all of these items over the Christmas break inside my storage unit from Florida.   I was so excited to go through those boxes and find my clothes.  I felt like I was shopping all over again.

First, Let me say that I was so geeked when I found my Authentic Vintage Christian Dior Trench, I got this baby in Panama City, FL during a estate sale only $14.99.  I also purchase some old chinaware from the family.  I really didnt pay any attention to the label inside til I got home and when I realized it was Dior, I quickly rushed to the antique store to check it's authenticity.  When the dealer said it was real, a ittle piece inside of me said, "Thank You, Thrift Gods".  Too Much?

I paired the trench with a vintage Ralph Lauren plaid midi.  The age of the skirt it in between the 80's and early 90's. I love the mix of red, khaki, burgundy, cream and brown in this skirt, it definitely opened my plaid skirt options back up.  I was beginning to get bored with the buffalo and tartan ones.   Although I do have a soft pink one..Remember? Click to see my other vintage beauty.

The chunky knits were definitely missed since I never wore them in Florida, but the vintage shades became my thing while there.  A few of them I had to get the lens replaced because they may have been prescribed and I'm already blind as a bat.

With the many discoveries that I've found in the storage unit, I'm hoping to do at least 40 posts with item already in my closet.

Wish me luck!

Got to get this dream off the ground and running.

Chloe + Isabel Collection featuring Marsala, Pantone's Color of the Year

Wednesday, January 7, 2015
Happy New Year Fashion Luvs!!!!!

I hope your holiday was filled with all kinds of goodies and I really hope you started your new year off with many great opportunities to happiness. I love the winter and new year.  It truly is a time of renew and fresh looks.  I actually have some fresh new looks myself....Coming Soon.

One fashion highlight of the new year is always the announcement of the Pantone Color of the Year.  This year they are proud to introduce Marsala as the color of the year.

This color screams winter luxe to me.  I'm sure you've notice this color comes from the rich wine  or burgundy family and it deserves to be treat as such.  A rich look is what you will need to carry this color off into your wardrobe.   Don't panic because we all know, I'm a girl on a budget and I'm always looking for luxury at an affordable piece.  It's all about making the item work in my wardrobe for multiple wear.  Another great way to bring this color into your life is Statement Jewelry.  So, I went on the search to find some pieces to add to my wardrobe to give it a fresh look and I was extremely impressed with what chloe + isabel  had to offer.

Actually I was so impressed, I decided to partner up with a local chloe + isabel merchandiser by the name of Sweet Home Bling and bring my new love for this brand to you!!

So the real questions is, How on earth would I wear this?

Let me show you some of my favorite ways to wear Marsala with chloe + isabel.

Look One:

I like to call this look: Glamour Girl.  This is the perfect mix of casual and glam and do you see how the bracelet can stank up for a great arm party!
Yas Yas Yas!!!

 Look Two:

This is "Love in the  Air" look.  I adore the rich tone of the jewel in this collection with the dark paisley print dress.

Look Three:

This is called "Sweet Wine". This is a great way to wear a jumpsuit from the summertime.  Just by adding a thick scarf, wool fedora and structure handbag. This winter look is flawless.
