The Utilitarian Chic Look has to be one of my favorite looks for the fall.  The blend of Khakis, Greys, and Tans, always makes this trend one of my favorite. Put this style in a midi dress, jumpsuit  and cape and I will definitely need to add this to the closet.

White Denim: The Perfect Pair featuring Lane Bryant 6th and Lane Collection

Tuesday, August 25, 2015
Hey Pretty Girls!

How has this summer been treating you?  Have you tried something new this season?  I did!  I finally decided to tackle my fear of white denim bottoms. Now first let me just say, I wasn't not a fan of white jeans or any white bottom to be exact.  I always felt white bottoms exaggerated my already over curvy bottom half or at least made my thighs more noticeable then they are already.  But seriously, who would I be lying too, I think it is safe to say everyone notices these thighs and well maybe it was time to celebrate them in white.

With this testimony, I decided why not go for it! And the best part is the wonderful team of Lane Bryant helped me in my search and provide my first pair of white denim to rock during the The Curvy Fashionista's TCFStyle Expo.  Did you attend? Check out the recap to this awesome event here.

I decided to try the 6th and Lane White Skinny Jeans for the event and I couldn't be more happy with this decision. I've fallen in love with these jeans.  They hit right at the waist with little to no "Big Booty " gapping and just enough stretch to go with your curves and hugs them properly showing off every angle.  I was so excited about my new jeans, I had to share some looks I've been rocking lately in my new white jeans!

Here are my three favorite ways to rock White Denim in the Summer.

Look One:  Fringe Benefits with this cool boho inspired fringe top from Harper + Liv, sold at Macy's and Dllards.  This new plus size brand is definitely hitting the spot and give me my life right now.  I have this top in both black and cream and I love them.  I wanted a relaxed yet sexy look for my Saturday afternoon adventures.  This look was just that.  My fringe tote, leopard sandals and retire Chloe and Isabel pieces tied the look together perfectly.

Look Two: Pretty in Pink with this perfect scuba top from ModaMix (Similar). I love the look of the pink and white combination, so classic and soft. The softness of this look required a statement necklace.  I paired this look with pieces from SweetHomeBling Chloe + Isabel Gardenia Collection.  The Rose gold metallic next to the soft pink top was a sweet combination despite my rebellious mood that day.

Look Three: Black X White X Gold...A tradional combine done with a little edge of course.  This classic color combination is great now matter what the season you decide to wear it in.  I paired the jeans with a easy tee from Harlow and a great moto from Fashion to Figure (Sold Out).  This look really brought out the minimalist in me.  I've been playing around with the thought recently to explore the minimalist fashion life and this look along with the accessories from the latest fall collection from Chloe + Isabel is giving me all kinds of simplicity. The clean lines of the jewelry is clearly refined with a edgy feel to it. something like me somedays.

I have to say, I think I've overcome yet another fashion fear. By taking on white jeans, I realized like everything else, FIT IS WHAT MATTERS.  The right fit make a world of difference. So if you looking for a pair of white jeans, I'm highly recommending these babies.

The best lesson I've learned is white jeans have such a great style revive during the summer.  They practically go with everything, pair with primary colors for a bold look. Mix with neons to go full on summer fun. Go beautifully classic by pairing with nudes and pastels.

One Red Dress - Four Ways to Wear this Year

Thursday, August 13, 2015
Hey Pretty Girls!!!

How was the summer been treating you?  I've been traveling alot lately for work and learning to pack extremely lite for these adventures. With that being said, I'm trying to simplify my wardrobe and find more pieces that work in multiples in my life and closet. I picked up this really cute red dress from It's Fashion Metro.  It's Fashion Metro always seems to have simple pieces that just work in my closet and sometimes really trendy pieces that don't break my budget.  Case in point, this really cute dress is under $20 bucks!!
Perfect Right?  What even more perfect is I plan on wearing this dress a couple different ways to help give you some ideals on the endless possibilities it possess.

Let's start with a cute look for the weekend!

I took the simply red tank dress with side ruching on both sides ( Don't worry I will show a styling picture with just the dress soon) and paired it with my favorite denim moto from Zulily and Lucky Brand platforms.  I wanted a relaxed look for dinner with my mom.  This look was both easy and cute.
