Vintage Inspiration: Just a Little Bardot

Hey Dolls!!

Let's talk SEXY!!!! When most refer to "sexy" clothing on a curvy woman, they imagine a form fitting outfit that cling to every dangerous curve on her body....I am guilty of this also sometimes.  But what I really love is when a woman showcases the part of her body she feeling is the sexiest. For me it's my shoulders, in my opinion.  I am always searching for tops that showcase this feature and when I need a little inspiration, I check my vintage files to see who embraced the style I am seeking the most.

When it comes to showcasing sexy shoulders, only one woman holds the title.  The beautiful Bridgette Bardot. This style icon is the inspiration behind the shoulder baring trend from the 50's. Her signature wide neckline, off the shoulder top became known the Bardot to the fashion world.  Today, this style is still embrace with open arms.......well, baring shoulders that is.

I purchased this vintage skirt around June off Esty.  I can't remember the vendor name, but I can tell you that Esty, is a great place to start your vintages search.  Storevny is also a great place to begin looking for vintage items at a great price.  My Bardot top was $3.99 from the local Cititrends.

Yes, I was loving this look and was thinking about bringing up the hemline a little, but my mother was so against that alteration.

What's the sexiest part of your body?  How do you flaunt it?
